Mechanical Engineering Intern
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Intern to help bring a new 3D printing manufacturing line to life. You will work alongside our engineering team to design, configure, and optimize production setups, from workstation layouts to custom fixtures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This role combines design thinking with practical, hands-on implementation.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and setting up a 3D printing-based manufacturing workflow
- Support layout planning for workstations, assembly areas, and quality checkpoints
- Build and configure jigs, fixtures, and light equipment for production
- Help with assembly and setup of work surfaces, stations, and tooling
- Participate in testing and refining workflows for safety, efficiency, and quality
Qualifications
- Current student or recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Interest in manufacturing process design and mechanical systems
- Comfortable using basic tools and hardware
- Able to safely lift and move up to 30 pounds
